چکیده

Original scientific paper Recycling of all materials should be supported by modern society. Material recycling is one of the most important ways of dealing with waste. One of material recycling possibilities is an inclusion of waste into primary matrices. A suitable ratio and a combination of waste particles influence in a positive way mechanical properties of the material in which they are dispersed and they decrease its price. An example of the mentioned material recycling is a dispersion of corundum waste particles in the polymeric matrix. The combination of these types of matrix and filler gives birth to new polymeric particles composite creates a qualitatively brand new material. As most important characteristics of the polymeric particle composites, one often lists resistance to abrasive wear, hardness, impact resistance and strength and, last but not least, their cost. This article deals mostly with the two-body abrasive wear resistance and hardness of polymeric particle composites with the waste Al2O3 as filler and two-component epoxy matrix.

Abrasive Wear in Three-phase Waste-based Polymeric Particle Composites

Original scientific paper The experiment centres on two and three body abrasion in three-phase waste-based composite systems. The composite systems abrasion resistance is defined not only by the physical-mechanical relationships of the separate phases of the composite, but also by the mutual interaction of the phases and on the matrix-filler interface. To describe the composite system abrasion ...

بررسی اثر نوع فیلر بر سایش سه جزئی کامپوزیت دندانی

Statement of Problem: The relatively poor wear resistance of dental composite in stress bearing posterior situations has restricted wider clinical application of this restorative material. Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the three body abrasive wear of a dental composite based on a new filler (leucite: KAl Si2O6) and to compare it with the wear resistance of a composite based on ...

Two-body and three-body abrasive wear behaviour of polyaryletherketone composites

Single and multipass two-body and three-body abrasive wear behaviour of various polyaryletherketone composites have been carried out by using a pin-on-disc machine and a rubber wheel abrasion test (RWAT) rig. Abrasive wear studies were conducted under different loads and sliding distances. Comparative wear performance of all the composites at different loads shows that specific wear rate (Ko) o...

Effect of Abrasive Particle Size on Abrasive Wear Resistance in Otomotive Steels

If one of the surfaces which are in touch is rough and hard, it chips the other surface due to relative motion or touching forces. The wear is called two-body abrasive wear. If there are free abrasive particles between the two bodies, the wear is called three-body abrasive wear. The free abrasive particles may be external material dust or the remains of chipping. Usually, the wear starts as a t...

Three-body wear of different composites resins

Introduction: Low resistance of composite resins to abrasion is a primary concern in the application of these materials for posterior restorations which are prone to high occlusal loads. This study compared the wear resistance of three types of composites. Methods: In this laboratory experiment, five specimens of each of the three types of composites (z250, Heliomolar, Opallis) were prepared...
